The movie is an exhibit of some of the world’s most beautiful and colorful countries. I want to meditate and select my thoughts like I select my clothes! Her stay in Italy made me want to work really hard to be able to study abroad in Rome this summer.
I found the movie to be underrated. I really enjoyed it. Over the weeks, I’ve really grown to love Julia Roberts. I see it now. I understand the level of adoration she receives.
What a fabulous movie for a Saturday night alone! I totally related to Maggie, Julia Roberts was awesome with a magnetic personality. Starting to really appreciate Garry Marshall films.
Look, I guarantee there’ll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don’t ask you to be mine, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you’re the only one for me.
When I was a little girl, my mama used to lock me in the attic when I was bad, which was pretty often. And I would- I would pretend I was a princess… trapped in a tower by a wicked queen. And then suddenly this knight… on a white horse with these colors flying would come charging up and draw his sword. And I would wave. And he would climb up the tower and rescue me. But never in all the time… that I had this dream did the knight say to me, “Come on, baby, I’ll put you up in a great condo.”
For the first hour I just thought about how differently she would’ve been treated if she just changed her clothes. But boy, does Julia Roberts clean up well.
Their first kiss - floored me, just marvelous; and the subtle “I love you”, ah.
Also, I’ve never seen Jason Alexander be such a bad guy! That scene (you know what I’m talking about) was an awful sight to watch. I can’t believe he punched her too! Such a wanker.
And I loved Barney Thompson!
It must be difficult to let go of something so beautiful.
I died. So many meanings - THE MEANINGS! Plus, he was so sweet to Vivian. This is the same guy from The Princess Diaries, remember? The driver - Joe! He just happens to be much younger in this movie. This guy is always playing the helpful grandpa figure. He’s actually been in quite a few of Garry Marshall films; there was also the hairstylist, and queen’s assistant from The Princess Diaries in this movie as well.
And Bridgette was so sweet too.
Vivian: Bridge? He’s not really my uncle. Bridget: They never are dear.
Then there was the last scene. Richard Gere rolls in on a white stag (limo) in a cliche romantic way. Julia Roberts releases her long locks as Richard climbs up the tower (ladders) to rescue her.
Edward Lewis: So what happens after he climbs up and rescues her? Vivian: She rescues him right back.
Couldn’t express to you how obnoxious Taylor Swift was in this movie. My favorite story was Bradley Cooper and Julia Robert’s. Everything else was just meh.
Could not tell you how impressed I was by the costumes.
But in regards to the movie itself, it was quite interesting. Especially the Bollywood dance at the end. Either way, it’s suited for children and young teenagers. It lacks practicality and depth - of course.
